North Fulton Treatment Center had the privilege of inviting Missy Owen, director/founder of Davis Direction Foundation (DDF), to our office in March. The Owen family tragically lost their son and brother to a heroin overdose in March 2014. We are honored to be invited to her April 14th Symposium, “Creating Community to Embrace Long-term Recovery,” as a vendor. Please mark your calendars for April 14, 2015 at 7 p.m. at Kennesaw Mountain High School. We are excited about working with DDF in the future to help fight this disease.
The Davis Direction Foundation Mission statement: “The mission of the Davis Direction Foundation is to serve as a role model in our community in order to become a national resource for opiate/heroin addiction awareness and change. We will strive to remove the outdated stigma of opiate addicts and innovatively revamp the rehabilitation process to appropriately address the disease of opiate/heroin addiction as one of the most severe forms of addiction.”
North Fulton Treatment Center’s main goal is to help eliminate the destructive behaviors that lead to your dependency. Our therapists work one-on-one with you to find the root of your dependency and help you transition to a healthier life. Although the medication helps with the physical withdrawals of opiate dependency, counseling is part of program that helps you with the psychological aspects. This program takes time and patience, but the results are worth the healthy lifestyle you will live during and after the completion of the program.
